YURTS BACKCOUNTRY SKI TRIP ARGENTINA
Between Chile and Argentina, Ski in the middle of the Central Andes
TRIP DETAILS
In the middle of Argentina and Chile, lays a pass that connects both countries at high altitude. Few years ago a group of mountain guides with lots of enthusiasm ask the authorities to place a camp with Yurts in this amazing ski terrain that holds snow from June to late October.
The Yurts offers all basics you need: Good classic Argentinian meals, warmth, nice beds in rooms with a private bathroom.
Nothing fancy, but good to spend few nights and get to ski world class terrain in the Andes with Professional IFMGA mountain guides.
The place offers some lakes in the region and the ski runs are around 1000 meters, but with the help of snowmobiles you can access very remote ski terrain within minutes comparable to some Alaska ski lines
All aspects, all kind of snow and very good ski lines without doubt.
The drive to the place is remote and far which makes it very special.
The team at the yurts, classic of Northern Argentina are very welcoming and warm people to hang out.
