more details
This guided mountain biking trip is a special combination of two countries, two different cultures, and two Andean crossings. This is a well-rounded cycling vacation in South America mountain biking through several different ecosystems of the Patagonian Steppe, High Andes Mountains, Temperate Rainforest, Lakes District, Volcanos, Pacific Ocean, and National Parks of Argentina and Chile.
We begin cycling around the outskirts of San Carlos de Bariloche at the entrance of Argentina’s Nahuel Huapi National Park, then a lake crossing traversing three lakes to arrive to Chile. With your mountain biking guide, you descend Volcano Osorno, cycle through Chile’s Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, then visit the Pacific Ocean and a few salmon farms. We’ll visit Puerto Varas which is one of the nicest tourist towns in Chile. Then, another bicycle crossing through Paso Puyehue, a high Andean pass, to arrive to Villa Angostura, Argentina and cycle in the Arrayanes National Forest.
