We have seen over the years in Patagonia some really good rock climbers with very basic skills on glaciated terrain. Or really good skiers/ snowboarders approaching to their lines taking some unnecessary risks. Or people that travels unroped in big glacier terrain. The idea of this programs are to provide some basic education to travel safer in the mountains, have fun and avoid accidents. Sometimes with just few tips you can move much safer.
As UIAGM-IFMGA Mountain guides, we also offer two main programs to train independent mountaineers, backcountry skiers, climbers that want to learn how to move independently in the mountains.
