TRIP DETAILS

This is an excellent option to get a full day of guided backcountry skiing in the Nahuel Huapi National Park and take advantage of the Cerro Catedral Ski Area and Alta Patagonia lifts.  We take the gondola to get above tree line quickly, and start ski touring from there.  To access the backside of the ski area and get into the Van Titter Valley, there are few saddles to cross.

According our skiers’ skill level, your mountain guide will pick terrain looking for open, moderately-angled bowls, hidden chutes, or steep runs.

Aspects are important to hit the good, safe snow. We strongly recommend hiring a Professional IFMGA UIAGM Mountain Guide.
